For those of you stopping by to see who won last week's giveaway, I have not forgotten, just delayed a day or so, sorry. You see, on Thursday John and I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary. Spontaneously, that's how we roll, we packed our bags and headed off to London ....
 |
| Ahhh, the open road, M4 motorway bound for London |
I recently added Instagram to my technology repertoire. The images are not great quality but you do have the ability to apply several different finishes to your photographs. I tend to lean towards the old vintage style which gives the impression that I am carrying an old bellows camera, arguing with a roll of 35mm film and finding a dark place to load and unload. Not with Instagram, at the click of a button you can visually travel back in time ....
 |
| Are we there yet? I have had my hair cut really, really short! |
The best things about it are it's instantaneous nature and the ability to take a photo on your mobile, edit and upload immediately. It can capture the moment, file the image and share with friends and family at the click of a button. An on line library of the good times ....
 |
| Out for afternoon coffee with our dear friend, Pauline |
 |
| And out for dinner with family |
 |
| Good company, wine and candlelight. It doesn't get any better! |
Apart, maybe, when looking at the view from our hotel room ....
We can be plane spotting geeks as we face the runway at Heathrow and this morning they were landing directly in front of us!
We are back in business on Tuesday so I will organise Sookie and that peanut butter giveaway incentive then.
Thanks for sharing my week on Instagram. Enjoy!
Happy Anniversary!!! Enjoy yourselves .... wishing you a fabulous week-end..xo HHL

Happy Anniversary you crazy cats, sounds like you had a ball in London. I'm following you now on Tumblr.
ReplyDeleteMy dearest DI!
ReplyDeleteI just got back in the house after a FIVE HOUR walk with my husband around our beautiful lakes and parks! The weather is so fine and we just had to take advantage of the time. I see you have also done the same and I want to wish you many splendid years more with your beloved!!! You look GREAT with short hair!
I have got to look into Tumblr and Instagram. I am going to be getting a new and better camera so I can take better shots of my art.
LOVELY TO SEE A POST! Anita
Great photos. Happy anniversary! I want to spontaneously go to London, too.
ReplyDeleteI love the way your photos look here. They do have a sort of vintage relaxed look to them.

Hello Dianne:
ReplyDeleteOh, happy happy day! Congratulations on your anniversary. Spontaneous celebrations are often the best we find. None of the trauma of the build up, not so much expectation and everything working out far better than expected.
We really are complete amateurs when it comes to all these photographic gadgets. But your retro gamine look in monochrome is delicious!
Happy anniversary. I have yet to discover the joys of Tumblr. But with no time for my boards on Pinterest, I don't think that I will be checking out Tumblr any time soon.
ReplyDeleteWooHooo!! Happy Anniversary, darling friend! (A bit late...sorry!)
ReplyDeleteCan I tell you how stunning your haircut is on you! TRES CHIC, chere amie! Love it...
So glad you had a fabulous time...
I actually have a thing for airplanes, so apart from the noise, that would have been an awesome view for me :)
CHEERS and many more years of LOVE!!
Big hugs,
- Irina
P.S. Off to follow your tumblr...I love it too, and have two of them now...crazy! :)))
Thank you all my dear friends, for your kind wishes. We had a wonderful weekend. Nothing to report, it was one of those weekends where we intended to do so much, but did absolutely nothing, just enjoyed each others company! Blissful and guilt free :-). Back to reality now :-(
ReplyDeleteAgain, THANK YOU!
Di
