Bloggers Unite ....
Today I met up with Meg from Pigtown Design. I always say, if you go into anything with expectations you are always disappointed by those expectations. If I had expected anything from my meeting with Meg my expectations would have been vastly surpassed by her welcome and warmth and the feeling that I had met up with a long lost friend. A wicked sense of humour and an outlook on life that makes her "My Kinda Gal"! I loved our afternoon together and, so as not to steal any thunder, after all, it is Meg's trip, I will just leave you with a tiny taster of the day ....

ReplyDeleteWise girl.

Oooh, I have had the grand pleasure of meeting up with several bloggers, and it is SO WONDERFUL to finally meet the faces behind the words....and WOW what a beautiful wall/cottage/tree this IS!!! LOVE TO YOU DI! Anita
ReplyDeleteI love those kinds of welcome surprises. And what a beautiful photo.
ReplyDelete"Those who expect nothing will not be dissappointed." I always expect something - for me anticipation is part of the joy of living. It's always fun to see how things really turn out. Like meeting a 'movie star' and realizing he's a foot shorter than you or voting for someone only to discover they haven't told the truth since they learned to count... Or when you go out to weed the garden and discover garlic - the good stuff - which must have been planted years ago by the previous owner... Life is an adventure - somedays smooth sailing, somedays you forget to untie the lines... (Meeting other bloggers sounds fun - I've met one or two. If I meet anymore I'll need to color my hair again or change my profile pix.)
ReplyDeleteI love stone work and big trees. yvonne

ReplyDeleteis this the blogging friend?! I am so interested!!
ReplyDeleteSometimes yes, sometimes no.
ReplyDeleteI like the feeling of distance, because contrarily, it often produces a delicate intimacy.
Dear, Dear Yonks. *blows kiss*
See?
That tree just looks like it belongs in a fairy tale. I can almost see it uprooting and walking into town.
ReplyDeleteCome on...........tell us more!!!

What a fabulous day! Andy and I were so pleased to have the chance to meet up with you and John, and I know Andy has found some new pals in Cardiff. It was a magical afternoon and I was soooo happy that you could be there, as it made it all the more fun, showing new and old friends around a place that I love!
ReplyDeleteMy few days in Wales were all the better for meeting you!
